Since 2022, through the Empowering Women in Agriculture (EWA) initiative, conducted in partnership with Femmes Africa Solidarité (FAS) and the Ministry of Agriculture of Malawi, we have been supporting women’s cooperatives to sustainably structure the cowpea value chain, from production to marketing. By strengthening their capacities and optimizing each link of this strategic sector, we contribute to food security while providing rural households with a stable and sustainable source of income.
